Education News: College Students Prefer Good Lectures to Tech

A recent survey of more than fifteen thousand students of higher education in Quebec concluded that students prefer a good lecture in class to the use of the latest technologies, though the percentage between those in favour and those not in favour is relatively small (53%). Salman Kahn talk at TED 2011

Salman Khan speaks at a TED conference on the development of Khan Academy, a non-profit educational organization with the mission of "providing a high-quality education to anyone, anywhere." The website's rapid growth in popularity gives reason for educators everywhere to consider why donors, such as Bill Gates, have contributed millions to Khan's goal.

Digital Technologies Have Mixed Effect on Students' Research Habits

Leila Meyer reports on surveys about teachers' views on the effects technology has on students.
